Broadwalk Shopping Centre
Bristol
Broadwalk shopping centre in Bristol was built in the 1970’s and went into administration in 2017. The site has since been purchased by a developer who plan to demolish and replace the current building with a mixed-use scheme providing a new community hub with much needed additional housing.
Platinum 3D’s team provided a measured survey of the entire site to create 2D plans of the shopping centre, snooker hall, bingo hall, basements and car park. The information will be used to inform the demolition and redevelopment process. After the plans were delivered the client requested a 3D model of the basement level which will be retained in part by the new scheme. Given the entire site was laser scanned Platinum had all the data necessary to create a Revit model of the basement and loading bay without a return to site.
