The Royal Gwent Hospital is located in the city of Newport, Wales. The hospital is undergoing a programme of maintenance and refurbishment across departments. Platinum 3D’s team carried out several laser scan surveys across the site to create BIM ready Revit models to inform the design process. A control network was installed during the first phase of works enabling all future work to be coordinated with ease.

As well as the Revit models being instrumental to the Architects, the data is also being used to facilitate FM management and maintenance.
